Privacy

The short version: this site doesn't collect anything about you. There are no accounts, no signups, and no forms. If you email me, I have your email address — that part is covered below.

The tracker itself

Everything you type into the generator — your goal, your dates, your payday rhythm — stays in your browser and in the page's web address. Nothing is sent anywhere. There is no server to send it to: the site is a set of static files, with no backend and no database.

That's why sharing a tracker means copying the link. The settings are in the link, not in an account.

The site sets no cookies, and stores nothing in your browser's local storage. Downloads and printing happen entirely on your device; the PDF and image files are built in your browser and never sent to me.

Analytics

I use Cloudflare Web Analytics to see how many people visit and which pages they land on. It is cookieless, collects no personal data, and does no cross-site or cross-device tracking. What I see is aggregate: page views and referring sites. I can't identify individual visitors from it.

Hosting and fonts

The site is hosted by Vercel, which serves the files and, like any web host, processes the requests needed to do that. The typeface is served from this site rather than from a font service, so loading a page doesn't tell a font provider you were here.

If you email me

The contact link on this site is a plain mailto: link. It opens your own mail app. There is no form and nothing is submitted to this site — clicking it sends me nothing at all.

If you do choose to write, then I have your email address and whatever you put in the message. Mail to hello@savings-tracker.com is forwarded by Namecheap to a Gmail account, so it passes through Namecheap and Google on the way to me, under their own privacy terms.

I use it to reply to you and to work out what to fix or build next. I don't sell it, don't share it, and won't add you to a mailing list — there is no mailing list. If you'd like me to delete an email you sent me, ask and I will.

What would change this page

Written down so it isn't rediscovered later. This page would need updating before any of these ship:

  • Advertising. Ad networks generally set third-party cookies and may personalize ads, which is a different disclosure from anything above and would likely need a consent step for visitors in the UK and EU.
  • Any different analytics tool, if it sets cookies or collects more than aggregate counts.
  • Any form on the site — an email signup, a feedback box, anything that submits data rather than opening your mail app.
  • Accounts or saved trackers, which would mean storing your data rather than keeping it in the link.
